Our Corgi loves this Frisbee! It's super flexible and he can bite and carry it folded over (like a taco), which is necessary for his short little legs. He's able to grasp, carry, and manipulate this toy even when he's playing with the "big dogs." This flies well and thus far has held up well outside. This Frisbee definitely lives up to the Kong name!
Lady - golden retriever - absolutely loves the rubber flyer. Best toy ever. She loves to run after it when it's tossed and bring it back for more. She loves chewing on it, too. Better than other flyers I've purchased - it's very flexible and extrememly durable. One day I tossed the flyer in the back yard and it got lost in some high bushes. Until I got another, Lady kept going to the bush looking for the flyer. She's happy now - I got two of them - just in case.
Love love love! I have a 7 month old doberman mix rescue and he likes to destroy everything in sight. I originally bought him a frisbee with an led light since it gets pretty dark when I walk him but after the first throw he bit out the led light and ruined the frisbee. I decided to give the kong frisbee a try since he cannot manage to destroy any kong products and I have had it a few months now and it’s still in perfect condition. We use the frisbee almost every night and he hasn’t been able to chew it up. I also think in comparison to other rubber frisbees, the kong one is a lot easier to throw because of its flexibility. It’s soft bendable rubber. So far it’s perfect for us. Definitely recommended.
Only two days in with this item but all the prior discs were damaged in the first 5 min and unusable in a day. This item is nice heavy rubber and the dog has chewed it a reasonable amount when picking it up and returning it. It is on the heavy side and there is a small learning curve to tossing it a good distance but it flies just fine for him to chase. He loves this toy and will run all day to chase and return it. I would say its had a good 3 hours of use in two days and its still in tact. Some of the negative reviews sound like they got product that was not original Kong as this item is exactly what they say it is, a heavy durable flyer. Time will tell in the long term but quite frankly its already lasted longer than any thing else we have tried. I would recommend and will buy again when the time comes.
My Lab/Greyhound is a fetching maniac. She needs about an hour of intense exercise per day, and playing fetch is her favorite. She gets very excited and tends to really gnaw on the toys as she's returning them to me. She destroys normal frisbees in the first few throws. Tennis balls might last a day before they're deflated and another before they're destroyed. You can actually hear them "pop" in her mouth as she's carrying them. I was given a Kong Flyer for Christmas. We started using it every day approx March 15 when the weather broke. It's been played with every day since, and it's now September 10. This toy shows no sign of wear. No bite holes, no tears, no damage. My dog usually leaves this toy on the deck or in the back yard when she's done and it shows no sign of degradation from the sun either. This is a fantastic dog toy. I ordered another to keep at my parents for when we visit. I will probably get another just to have a spare.
